For children until their 18th birthday, or, if they continue education, until age 26.

Beyond school hours
Life continues after school.
Training. Cycling. Home. Weekends. Trips. Holidays. The presented options cover insured accidents not only at school, but also outside school and during school holidays.
An accident may happen in Poland or abroad. Assistance services are provided in Poland.

NNW for teenagers – what should you check?
There is no separate “teenager” product in the presented offer. The PZU Edukacja table applies to children until their 18th birthday and, if they continue education, until age 26. For an older child, it is still worth checking the conditions that may matter for sport, cycling, scooter use, trips and activities outside school.

Does the cover apply only during lessons?
No. The table indicates covered accidents at school and outside school, including during holidays and winter breaks, worldwide. Assistance services are provided in Poland.
What about training and sport?
The General Terms and Conditions distinguish recreational, competitive and professional sport, as well as high-risk sports. Do not assume that every sporting activity is covered under the same rules – check the definitions and exclusions.
Does age matter?
Yes. The General Terms and Conditions include age-dependent conditions. They concern, among other things, a child under 10 riding a bicycle on a public road without adult supervision and a person under 16 riding a bicycle, scooter or personal transport device without a helmet, subject to the exceptions described in the General Terms and Conditions.
What should you compare for an older child?
Compare the NNW sum insured, the benefit for 1% permanent impairment, treatment and rehabilitation limits, and elements relevant to the child’s everyday activities. The choice should be based on needs and the terms of the documents, not age alone.
9 ready-made options

The options differ in the sum insured, premium and the amount of selected benefits. We do not mark any option as recommended.
How to read the selected option
The NNW sum insured does not mean that every event results in a payout of that amount.
Individual benefits have their own calculation method or limit. When choosing, it is therefore worth looking not only at the main sum insured, but also at the specific items below.
- Permanent impairment: the table shows the benefit amount for each 1% of assessed permanent impairment.
- Treatment: has its own limit, and rehabilitation is included within that limit, not added on top of the treatment limit.
- Other benefits: may have separate limits and conditions set out in the table, the OWU or additional provisions.
Broader view of the cover
Needs after an accident can vary.
Injuries and consequences of accidents
The presented options include, among other things, benefits related to bodily injury, permanent impairment, burns, frostbite and other events specified in the table.
Treatment and rehabilitation
Treatment limits range from PLN 1,500 to PLN 20,000, including rehabilitation limits from PLN 750 to PLN 10,000, depending on the option.
Orthopaedic equipment and permanent teeth
Reimbursement may range from PLN 3,750 to PLN 10,000, depending on the selected option and applicable conditions.
Assistance in Poland
Among other things: rehabilitation up to PLN 500, nursing care up to PLN 1,000, psychological support after an accident up to PLN 2,000, and consultation or transport up to PLN 2,000.
Practical details
After an accident, practical costs and organisation can matter too.
Prescription glasses
Reimbursement of repair or purchase costs if the additional provisions are met; the repair or purchase must take place no later than 30 days after the event.
Unused school trip
Reimbursement of costs already paid if, because of an insured accident, the child cannot take part in a previously paid school trip and the benefit conditions are met.
Private tutoring
Assistance for primary and secondary school pupils; it does not apply to post-secondary school pupils.
If an insured accident happens during a school trip, the benefits specified in the table are increased by 50%, subject to the applicable conditions.
What does this number mean?
The percentage of permanent impairment is determined according to the OWU rules and the relevant impairment table.
In the options table, the benefit for each 1% of permanent impairment ranges from PLN 150 to PLN 2,000. The percentage itself is determined according to the OWU rules and the relevant impairment table, based on the documentation and circumstances of the event.
Not every injury results in permanent impairment, and you cannot determine the percentage yourself.
Selected benefits related to illness
Not every illness is covered.
The presented options include, among other things, a daily hospital benefit due to illness, a benefit for sepsis and a benefit for specified serious illnesses. In the materials for children, examples include type 1 diabetes and neuroborreliosis.
“Serious illness” has a specific definition in the OWU and does not mean every illness that may commonly be regarded as serious.
Good to know before you choose
The amounts in the table must be read together with the rules applying to each benefit.

Key questions before you choose.
Is school NNW compulsory?
No. Year-round school NNW is voluntary. Parents decide whether they want to insure their child and which offer to choose. This is a general rule for school insurance; the scope of a specific policy is determined by its terms.
Do I have to buy the insurance offered by the school?
There is no general requirement to buy a specific offer presented by the school. Parents can choose individual NNW. If the insurance must meet the requirements of a particular trip or activity, those requirements should be checked separately.
Does a child’s NNW insurance work only at school?
No. The presented options cover insured accidents outside school as well, including during school holidays. An accident may happen in Poland or abroad; assistance is provided in Poland.
Does the cover include sport?
PZU materials indicate cover for recreational and amateur sport, while competitive sport is subject to additional rules. The OWU excludes, among other things, professional sport, high-risk sports and competitive sport practised by persons over 20.
How does cover work for cycling and scooters?
The OWU contains specific restrictions, among other things, for a child under 10 riding a bicycle on a public road without adult supervision and for a person under 16 riding a bicycle, scooter or personal transport device without a helmet. The OWU also describes exceptions where these circumstances did not affect the event or its consequences.
What does a benefit for 1% permanent impairment mean?
It is the amount assigned in a given option to each one percentage point of permanent impairment. The percentage itself is assessed according to the OWU rules and the relevant impairment table; it is not determined by the user on this website.
Does a PLN 200,000 sum insured mean PLN 200,000 for every accident?
No. The sum insured is a parameter of the contract. Individual benefits and reimbursements have their own rules, limits and conditions.
Does the offer include benefits related to illness?
Yes, but only specified ones. The presented options include, among other things, a daily hospital benefit due to illness, sepsis and defined serious illnesses. This does not mean cover for every illness.
How should I choose between the 9 options?
Compare not only the annual premium, but also the sum insured, the benefit for each 1% of permanent impairment, treatment and rehabilitation limits, and other elements that matter in your situation.
Does going to UBEstrefa mean I have bought the insurance?
No. Moving to the next stage does not create an obligation to enter into the contract. The decision is made later in the process.
